Welcome to Faith Lutheran Church
We are a congregation of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. Our mission is to share the good news of God’s love through word and action. Our ministries include Faith Place, a 12 story senior citizen’s residence, and the various ministries of the church. Our worship space is non-traditional: we convert the dining hall to a worship space each Sunday morning, complete with stained glass windows.
Look around our site, and when you are in Oshawa, please plan to stop in to visit us.

Rev Pamela Kormano
We are
people of all ages and backgrounds
journeying together
who are called to be
the hands and feet of Christ
in the world.
1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him; bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations.
—Psalm 100

Spotlights
Sunday School
Sunday School is a rich & essential part of our church life.
We invite all children starting at the kindergarten age.
Our classes are on the
1st & 3rd Sunday
of each month, September–June, during the worship service. We share God’s love through songs, crafts, stories and lessons. To help keep the students engaged during non class Sundays our students are often asked to participate in the regular worship services. The tasks could simply be helping the ushers hand out bulletins & hymnals, they may be asked to read a lesson, possibly light the altar candles. We hope that having children attend Sunday School & church, will help them build a solid foundation on which to grow.
Choir
We have an active choir
which meets in Augustana Hall Chapel every Wednesday at 6:00 pm
from September through May.
We endeavor to “make a joyful noise to the Lord” during services once or twice a month.
We are a small but enthusiastic group.
We invite anyone who loves to sing to come join us.

Bible Circle
“Bible Circle” is a time a time of gathering when we all have an opportunity to join in conversation, with Christ and scripture at the heart of our conversations.
When: Normally it will be the Second and Fourth Thursdays of the month
Where: Augustana Hall Chapel
Time: 10- 11am Led by Pastor Pamela
You are invited to attend as you are able. Please feel free to invite a friend or neighbour.
These are informal times of gathering where all are welcome, and no experience is necessary. Please bring a Bible and an open and loving heart.
I will have a few Bibles available for those who may not have one. If you have any questions, please feel free to be in touch with Pastor Pamela. I look forward to this time together!
