Mission Statement
As a people of God, Faith Lutheran Ministries has been called into being by the Holy Spirit. Our life together finds its source and strength in the ministry of the Word and Sacrament. Through the proclamation and sharing of the good news of God’s grace in Jesus Christ, we are strengthened and enabled to carry out the various emerging ministries the Spirit gives to us.

I started here at Faith Lutheran Church in September 2024.
Prior to my becoming the pastor of Faith Lutheran Church congregation I served congregations in the
Greater Toronto Area and the Niagara Area.
I hope you will come and experience how Christ is working within and through
the people of this congregation as we are guided by the Holy Spirit.

About Faith Lutheran Church
The members who started Faith Lutheran Church in 1965, with Pastor Henry Fischer as their leader searched for meaning and a lasting place in the community.
They discovered that the essence of the church is her people gathered together around Word and Sacrament and prepared for mission and service.
In this regard, they decided that the congregation’s needs are built into a structure that serves another purpose.
Faith Place seniors apartments was the building that came out of this vision.
Our church services are held within the Faith Place complex.
In 1990, Pastor Dennis Becker arrived as an associate pastor and took over the pastoral duties in 1993.
Pastor Pamela Kormano arrived as our pastor in September 2024 upon the retirement of Pastor Becker.
Church personnel are involved in ministering to the residents of Faith Place.
We host Oshawa Senior Citizens Day Care Program and regularly give to various outreach programs in our community.
